The Whitney

The Whitney is a 9-story multi-family building centrally located in the vibrant inner suburb of Watertown among established residential neighborhoods, commercial corridors, and public transportation access to the greater Boston area.  This longstanding property, built in 1983,  has roots in the local community and is family-owned and operated for over forty years.

Working closely with the contractor group, engineering and the building facilities team, the renovations to tenant and amenities spaces were successfully completed while fully occupied. The updated design focused equally on improving the appeal and function of utility spaces, hallways, lobby and communal spaces. Promoting events and Coworking for tenants, also expands the square footage of each unit’s living space and encourages neighborly interactions.

Our role included design and documentation, selections for lighting, finishes, and furnishings in communal spaces, and extended to a curated “Turnover Toolbox” for the management team to use in updating private tenant units ongoing.
