Grape Leaves

A narrow, deep, unfinished space was transformed into a kosher butcher and specialty food shop in Brookline, Massachusetts. A new tin acoustic ceiling and reclaimed wood flooring evoke the familiar warmth of a neighborhood shop. Merchandise displays and carefully selected finishes reinforce the shop’s emphasis on personal service and attention. An open kitchen brings meal preparation into view, creating a sense of connection between customers and the people preparing their food.

Our role included floor plan development, kitchen equipment layout and sourcing, and assistance in securing an Access Board variance to accommodate an accessible restroom within the constraints of the existing space.
